Meeting Summary

We ratified the five working groups and the need to articulate specific proposals in each of the following: Facilities & Incentives – identify specific resources, facilities & incentives needed to attract light aircraft businesses & services as well as transient GA traffic to KSBP.

KSBP Movement & Safety

Propose adjustments to the current KSBP master plan citing FAA airport design regs / recommendations to limit the mixing of light & jet aircraft on taxiways, limit surface movement delays, idling, etc.

Community Engagement

Propose ideas for how we engage the local community, businesses, and out-of-area pilots to discover the value of KSBP and become advocates for the airport.

Rescue 7-25

Propose alternatives for hangar and other facilities (from Group 1) that allow us to retain Rwy 7/25. The group should also research a ballpark cost of runway maintenance and how we might fund that assuming FAA alternate runway funding is lost.

West-Side Design

Integrate input from #s 1 – 4 into specific design concepts and requirements to shape west-side development plans (or development RFPs).
